What is a Clubhouse?
A Clubhouse is a community organization that supports individuals who have a history of mental illness in their journey towards recovery. Silver City Clubhouses provide opportunities for individuals to connect with employment, education, and community resources and to build these skills. Through the support of others in recovery, Clubhouses create an environment that emphasizes strengths and abilities, rather than focusing on illness. Members participate in work-ordered units to gain valuable employment skills and build their confidence.
Clubhouses are a local solution to a global challenge, offering voluntary programs that promote work, wellness, and socialization. This evidence-based approach has been shown to be effective in helping people reclaim their lives. Whether in-person or online, Clubhouses make a meaningful difference in the lives of their members by helping them achieve their social, educational, and employment goals.
Mission
Our Clubhouse is dedicated to providing a warm and empowering community environment that promotes hope, recovery, and independence for individuals living with mental illness. Our primary focus is on providing opportunities for meaningful work, building meaningful relationships, pursuing employment and education, securing affordable housing, promoting health and wellness, and accessing entitlement assistance.
Vision
We envision a future where individuals living with psychiatric disabilities are valued members of their communities, who have access to the resources and support they need to lead fulfilling and meaningful lives. Through our commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive space that values every individual's unique ability and aspiration, we will continue to empower our members to achieve their full potential and make a positive impact on the world around them.
